GRAND MERCURE SUPPORTS I LOVE SON TRA JOURNEY AND DEAF PEOPLE
The 8th I Love Son Tra Journey becomes more meaningful with the participation of deaf people and volunteers from The Silent world Club.
In order to celebrate the World Biodiversity Day on May 22nd, a series of campaigns and activities have been organized in Da Nang city with the representative of the Red-shanked douc langur in Son Tra. With its mission to call for participation in saving the biodiversity for Vietnam, GreenViet has cooperated with Thien Bach Minh company to display Son Tra douc’s images at 17 bus stops, 2 ‘Clean for Son Tra’ programs also were conducted in cooperation with Son Tra Eco-Tourism Management Board, and 7 I Love Son Tra Journeys have been implemented with sponsors of Da Nang Tourism Association, Furama resort, and Indochina Unique Tourist Ltd.
This 8th I Love Son Tra Journey on May 15th will be interesting with the participation of deaf people and their volunteers in Da Nang city. The 6 deaf people will join to study their natural resources in Son Tra peninsula, in order to understand, participate, and contribute to the social works of Da Nang city. They will have supports from the STC (the Silent world Club) volunteers during the journey so they can join in every activity. This is a unique opportunity for both deaf people, STC volunteers and GreenViet to understand each other, share opinions, and to cooperate in future activities to protect Son Tra.

The STC Da Nang club was established with the aim to support deaf people to integrate to the community in different approaches methods. Volunteers who are interested in the deaf field have been gathered to organize activities to support deaf people and deaf kids to integrate into the community. These volunteers are focusing on studying sign language to communicate with deaf people and fundraising to open sign language classes as well as organize interacting activities for deaf people, volunteers, and community. For a longer-term, STC supposes to work with other organizations and enterprises to support deaf people in training and finding a suitable job.
In order to organize a successful journey for deaf people, responding to the call of Da Nang Tourism Association, Grand Mercure has agreed to support a car for this I Love Son Tra Journey on May 15th, 2016.
