Chairman

Long currently works with the Frankfurt Zoological Society. Long started working in the field of nature conservation in 1999 with the Primate Rescue Center, Cuc Phuong National Park. In 2009, Long finished his PhD program in animal ecology at Selwyn College, University of Cambridge, UK. At Kon Ka Kinh National Park, Gia Lai, Long met enthusiastic young people who love nature like Tinh, Vy, and Bao. From there, the idea of building the Green Viet Biodiversity Conservation Center (GreenViet) was formed. Long wishes to join hands with the community to protect primeval forests and wild animals for future generations.

Vy graduated from with major in Biology and Environmental Education in 2006. In 2013, he completed a Master’s degree in Ecology. Both levels of education belong to the University of Education, the University of Danang. Up to now, Vy has 15 years of experience working in the field of biodiversity conservation in the Central and Central Highlands. Vy is one of the founders of GreenViet and has held the position of Center Director since the organization’s inception. Vy himself has a lot of experience in management and administration from the organization because he used to be Secretary of the Union of Biology and Environment Department since his student days, and Head of the field research team of the Grey-shanked Douc Langur conservation project in Ho Chi Minh City. Kon Ka Kinh National Park, Gia Lai province, founder of “Hand In Hand” charity group and “Da Nang Nature & Environment Love” Club.

NGUYEN THI TINH

Tinh was a member of the Gray-shanked Douc Langur ecological behavior research program in Kon Ka Kinh National Park, Gia Lai province from 2006 – 2009. After that, Tinh participated in educational and communication activities, management capacity in the Vietnamese primate conservation program of the Frankfurt Zoological Society, Germany. Tinh also participated in the wildlife hunting and trafficking investigation program in the Central and Central Highlands regions of the Vietnam Center for Nature Education (ENV).

Dung graduated from Hue University of Economics in 2013. Dung has more than 7 years of experience working in development organizations in the fields of natural resource management, community development, sustainable environmental development, ecology and biodiversity conservation. Dung wishes to join the GreenViet team in contributing to preserving the ecosystem and endangered flora and fauna species in Vietnam.

Huy graduated from Hue University of Pedagogy in 2010. After 2 years working as a high school teacher in Quang Binh, Huy continued to study the Master’s program specializing in Zoology – Hue University of Pedagogy (2012-2014). Huy started working at GreenViet in October 2014 as a wildlife conservation researcher. His research work is associated with mountains and forests. With the desire to contribute his small part to join hands in preserving Vietnam’s biodiversity, Huy is always ready and enthusiastic for all the work tasks he is undertaking. Currently, Huy holds the role of Deputy Director of GreenViet Center and Head of Scientific Research and Project Management Department at GreenViet.

Chuong graduated with a Master’s degree in Conservation Biology in Australia and is a member of the founding board, building the GreenViet Center from the first days in 2012. With the desire to realize the dream “Vietnamese people can protect protecting Vietnam’s natural resources”, Chuong returned home and contributed to GreenViet in the period 2017-2019. Chuong joined the fundraising team to mobilize Vietnamese businessmen and individuals to contribute funds to build the first Son Tra Nature Education Center in Da Nang city at 70 Ly Tu Tan, Da Nang. Currently, Chuong holds the position of Head of Development Department at GreenViet, with overall responsibility for project development activities, partner development, the one million urban green trees program and the Vietnam Nature Conservation Fund.

Tho graduated with a Master’s degree in Environmental Management from Hue University of Sciences in 2010. Tho has nearly 20 years of experience in researching and implementing community development programs/schemes/projects on Protect natural resources for domestic and foreign organizations. Coming to GreenViet, Tho takes on the role of Project Coordinator. Tho wishes to apply his experience, field skills, understanding of community development and passion for biodiversity conservation, hoping to make a small contribution to protecting wild flora and fauna. , natural ecosystems and inspire conservation for the community.

Kieu graduated with a major in Natural Resources and Environmental Management in 2018. In 2016, Kieu was fortunate to become a part of the Vietnam Primate Conservation Training Course, where Kieu began her journey to participate in nature conservation activities. Kieu is a member of the construction of the first nature experience education center in Da Nang city. Coming to GreenViet Kieu wishes to add green color and diversify resources for nature conservation.

Que Anh graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in English Language in 2020 from Nha Trang University, and has a Pedagogical certificate from Da Nang University of Education. Coming to GreenViet as a Nature Education Officer, with his passion to inspire, enthusiasm and love of nature to everyone, especially students,… Que Anh wishes to contribute young, intellectual and devoted to building and enriching the way of transmitting knowledge about nature, thereby helping people to love, appreciate, respect and protect nature.

Dieu Hong graduated with a major in Accounting from Da Nang University of Economics and has more than 4 years of experience working in development organizations. Hong loves nature and animals and wants to contribute her best to nature conservation. Therefore, becoming a member of Greenviet is Hong’s desire and pride to realize her dream of preserving nature in the Central and Central Highlands.

Thao graduated from Da Nang University of Foreign Languages, majoring in Bachelor of English in 2018. Thao is currently holding the position of Administration – Human Resources at GreenViet. With 12 years of experience working at a state-owned enterprise, Thao wishes to accompany and contribute to people who are dedicated to biodiversity conservation, building and developing GreenViet to become stronger and stronger, to spread messages about environmental protection and conservation in Vietnam.

Linh graduated from Vietnam Forestry University in 2014. After 5 years of completing her duties as a Youth Volunteer Team member, Linh returned to her unfinished dream while still in the university lecture hall, which is to contribute to the industry. Forestry and environment at non-governmental organizations. Coming to GreenViet, Linh has ignited the enthusiasm of youth with a love of nature, spreading awareness of environmental protection to the community.

Quyen graduated with a major in Auditing – Da Nang University of Economics. I am a person who is passionate about environmental protection activities and biodiversity conservation. Quyen hopes to bring “a new breeze” to the GreenViet house. In addition, Quyen wants the finance and accounting team in particular and the GreenViet center in general to continue to build and develop. every day, to be able to convey information and messages about nature and conservation to everyone in Vietnam and to the world.

Tuyen graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Journalism – Communications from Hue University of Sciences. Tuyen is an animal lover and loves learning about wild animals. Coming to GreenViet, Tuyen hopes to accompany and contribute to people who are passionate about conservation, spreading meaningful messages to the community, helping the Vietnamese ecosystem become more and more beautiful.

Thuy graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Natural Resources and Environmental Management from the University of Natural Sciences – Ho Chi Minh City National University. Thuy has loved exploring nature, hanging out with children and telling everyone about the plants she knows in her childhood. So when she grows up, her dream job is becoming a Nature Experience Education Officer. Every day being able to love another animal with students, young people or even adults, and laughing happily in nature is Thuy’s happiness.

Thuy hopes that with the GreenViet team, she continue to spread that happiness to everyone through educational programs to experience useful and interesting nature.

Quynh graduated from university with a major in Biology Education in 2018 and completed a master’s program in Biology in 2023 at the University of Education, Hue University. With the desire to realize the dream of “Returning to Mother Nature”, Quynh became a volunteer at GreenViet. Finally, fate brought Quynh to become a small piece of the center. Currently, Quynh is working at GreenViet’s Scientific Research and Project Management Department, taking on the task of researching the conservation of Black-shanked Douc and consulting on biodiversity conservation at Six Senses resort, Khanh Hoa. Quynh hopes to be a long-term companion with GreenViet, carrying out the mission of preserving Vietnam’s biodiversity.

After graduating from a master’s program in 2015 with a major in environmental and resource management, he not only taught at the university but also dedicated much of his time to scientific research on biodiversity. From a young age, Phu nurtured a passion for science and wildlife, with a profound understanding that wild animals must live in their natural habitats. With his extensive experience, deep knowledge, and special love for wildlife, Phu decided to join GreenViet, contributing to the enhancement of wildlife conservation and the protection of their vital habitats in Vietnam’s Central Region and the Central Highlands.

DINH THANH HUONG

MASTER OF EDUCATION

Huong joined GreenViet from the early days of its establishment, in charge of the position of general administrative staff and support for educational projects. Huong also has many years of experience working related to nature conservation such as volunteering for the Enthusiasm project, ENV Vietnam Nature Education Center, interning at the SANCCOB Seabird Conservation Organization in Vietnam. South Africa… Huong just graduated with a master’s degree in education and technology from the University of Oulu, Finland in October 2016. Currently, Huong is supporting and consulting GreenViet in the field of communication and nature education. In the future, Huong hopes to become an educational design expert, focusing on education for sustainable development, to effectively contribute to GreenViet’s success in preserving Vietnam’s nature.

Tam participated in the research and conservation program of the gray-shanked douc species at Kon Ka Kinh National Park in 2007 – 2009. After that, Tam studied the distribution area and behavior of the black-shanked douc species at Hon Heo, Khanh Hoa. Tam has also participated in survey and monitoring programs for primates and small mammals; and training program on biodiversity monitoring and investigation for rangers. In addition, Tam also has experience in the field of education to raise awareness about biodiversity conservation for local people.

Son is currently a lecturer in the Department of Biology and Environment, University of Education – University of Danang. Son has experience in biodiversity surveys. Son also has a lot of experience in organizing and guiding training on primates for students.

Jonathan conducted research for his PhD thesis at Son Tra Nature Reserve “Research on biological characteristics and microbial composition in the digestive system of red-shanked doucs” under the project Support from GreenViet Center staff. After a period of cooperation, Jonathan decided to become a member of the center in the first phase.

ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEER

Trang graduated from Da Nang University of Technology in 2009 with a major in Environmental Technology, but because she loves conservation activities, she began volunteering for wildlife protection activities in Da Nang city since then. in 2007. After graduating, Trang worked in the Mac Arthur project team in the Central – Central Highlands region of Thien Education Center (ENV), in charge of the area from Quang Tri to Gia Lai, researching activities hunt and trade wild animals, and coordinate with authorities to organize communication programs to raise awareness for the community. Since April 2013, Trang joined GreenViet with the desire to contribute efforts and experience to develop communication strategies for biodiversity conservation in the region, starting with the Red-shanked Douc conservation campaign. (Pygathrix nemaeus) in Son Tra peninsula.
