DISSEMINATING KNOWLEDGE OF PROTECTING THE RED-SHANKED DOUC LANGUR TO THE PRIMARY
GreenViet cooperating with People’s Committee of Son Tra District and the Office of Climate Change organized communication program for teachers working at primary schools within Son Tra district.
People’s Committee of Son Tra District, Department of Education and Training of Son Tra District, Department of Natural Resources and Environment, and the Office of Climate Change cooperated in organizing the contest of “Designing teaching aids made out of recycled materials” for the school year 2016-2017. A photo exhibition of the Red-shanked douc langur was integrated with this program and held by GreenViet.

The activities’ aim is to promote the movement of regularly researching and making teaching aids which is to improve teaching quality and increase the use the of recycled materials in teaching in order to protect the environment, diminish greenhouse emission, and contribute to building up a green low carbon economy in school time at primary schools in Son Tra district.
The contest happened from October 10 until November 12, 2016. On November 12, there was a final contest with more than 20 recycled teaching aids being displayed with can be used in teaching subjects such as Vietnamese, Mathematics, Geography, etc.

Greenviet organized the photo exhibition of the red-shanked douc langur of Son Tra peninsula with about 20 photos.

The program also attracted lots of kids to see and learn about the red-shanked douc langur in Son Tra Peninsula through images and information panel displayed.
