PROJECT COORDINATOR

In General: The Delegation of the European Union in Vietnam sponsors “the Establishing a funding foundation for biodiversity protection and environmental sustainability in Da Nang city, Vietnam” or (Vietnam Wildlife Conservation Fund) to GreenViet with a budget of nearly 600 thousand EURO (about 15 billion VND). The implementation period is from 2020 to 2023. The project aims to mobilize funding and improve the capacity of local social organizations (CSOs) operating in the field of biodiversity conservation and environment protection in central highlands. It is implemented with the cooperation between GreenViet and Gustav – Stresemann Institute (GSI, Germany).
I. STRATEGY
- Coordinate all activities including day- to-day project implementation and lead the project team to accomplish project goals
- Promote the establishment of a field office of the project in Central Vietnam.
- Collaborate with fundraisers and fundraising advisors to achieve the project’s fundraising goals
- Assist activities about summit financial support proposals of CSOs
- Enhance the capacity of CSOs
- Build cooperation programs with businesses
- Coordinate to organize activities to conserve the Red-shanked Douc Langur in Son Tra
- Develop a network of partners to implement project activities effectively
- Manage project information including reports and other related documents
- Report results of the project
II. TECHNICAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE
1. Education: University degree
2. Major: Project Management, Environment, Ecological, Business Administration, Economics.
3. Experience:
- 3-5 years of coordinating project experience, grant projects in the field of environmental protection, biodiversity conservation, social projects
- Working in NGO networks;
- Experience in making plans, facilitating field activities.
4. Knowledge:
- Understand the operating of non-profit organizations, local CSOs/CBOs,
INGOs.
- Understand the operating of CSR funds of the corporation;
- Understanding the regulations of the Vietnam Government on funding operation, the Enterprise Law in CSR, CSV activities;
- Have basic knowledge about Vietnam’s natural resources, biodiversity, wildlife in Vietnam.
5. Skills:
- Fluent in both Vietnamese and English.
- Ability to develop networks and maintain cooperation with local authorities,
corporations, communities, project partners, donors;
- Leader of a team of 4-5 people
- Interact effectively with other departments
- Make and manage annual, quarterly, and monthly plans
