CLEAN UP SON TRA 2021 – FOR A SON TRA GREEN
“Born and raised in Danang, I feel the need of supporting environmental protections activities like this in my hometown. These activities are necessary for young people and inspire community groups to continue to protect the environment ”- shared a volunteer who participated in the “Clean up Son Tra 2021” took place on Sunday, March 28th.
The event “Clean up Son Tra 2021 – For a Son Tra green” was co-organized by the Management Board of Son Tra Penisula and Danang tourism beaches, and GreenViet Center. The event was implemented not only to raise awareness and understanding about ecosystem but also to spead the message of protecting Son Tra’s nature to the community.
The program gathered more than 400 volunteers from diffirent communities and organizations such as: Eco Station, GreenTrips, Duy Tan University volunteer group, University of Economics volunteer group, Duy Tan Scout organization, HandinHand Volunteer Group, …
Equipped with trash bags, gloves, rubbish sticks, sticks,… the participants collected trash at 2 cleaning points: Ho Xanh street – Linh Ung pagoda – Intercontinental guard station and Tien Sa street – Ban Co peak – Vong Canh viewpoint.
During the event, ours volunteers was provided with the informations about biodiversity in Son Tra Penisula, knowledges of waste classification,… Hopefully, all of them have been well informed with needed information to start or continue the green lifestyle and nature protection.
